Program Overview

The Rugged Hills English Stay is an English language and cultural immersion program set in the scenic hills of Toodyay, Western Australia. Students may choose to live on-site at the English Stay Homestead or attend as day students. The program combines structured English practice with authentic exposure to rural Australian life and culture, offering a balanced and enriching learning experience.

Program Options

Homestay Option

Live at the English Stay Homestead, share meals and daily activities with native English speakers, and immerse yourself fully in English communication.

Day Student Option

Join structured lessons and activities during the day, then return to your own accommodation in the evening.

Flexible Learning Tracks

Cultural Immersion Only — Informal focus on conversation, daily life, and Australian culture.
Academic English — Structured lessons in grammar, writing, reading comprehension, and oral expression, tailored to student goals.

Entry Requirements

Students should have a basic level of English proficiency prior to enrolment, as all lessons and interactions are conducted in English.
A short assessment quiz can be provided to determine readiness.
Students who need more preparation may be advised to complete a basic ESL course before attending.
